EA has today confirmed the development of the next Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic – in MMO form:
“We’ve got two of the most compelling MMOs in the industry in development”, said Riccitiello. The first title, based on the Warhammer property, will launch soon. “And the one that people are dying for us to talk to them about — in partnership with Lucas, coming out of BioWare, which is, I think, quite possibly the most anticipated game, full stop, for the industry at the point when we get closer to telling you about it”.
Does Riccitiello mean the oft rumoured Knights of the Old Republic Online? “Yes”, he said.
The questions that remain now are simple; will the game come to consoles? Will the game be any good? Will it incorporate the previous two games and their stories? How much will it cost?
Stay tuned.

I love kotor, but i bloody hope its free though almost completley unlikely, preferably on 360. Maybe by then i’ll have a credit card.
Neat. I kinda forgotten whether I like KoTOR but I imagine it will rock. If it’s not on 360 then I can’t get it.
If its a PC only MMO it’ll die next to the likes of WoW. If it is console based it’ll be interesting, though I think that only playing with X360 owners will limit the amount of people online. Maybe we might see the crossing of PS3 and 360 (as its EA servers, not Live), or more 360 and PC cross platforming goodness.
I hope they make the right choice, for their own sake….
