E3 update: TNA Impact!

What is one thing that has had a negative impact on wrestling in real life as well as wrestling in the gaming industry in recent years? Competition. Now with the emergence of TNA that will hopefully be fixed.

TNA’s debut video game is set to be released September 2008 and over the E3 period we have been given another little insight into what this game will hold. My biggest concern for this game is the game play, but from the reports of the latest build of the game the game play is fast and fun and the controls, while they sound hard to adapt to, should flow well once learnt. The most positive feature of this game would have to be the graphics. Look at the screen shot that I have posted and tell me your not ‘wowed’ by them, they are simply amazing. The match types confirmed so far (there may be more) include standard, tag team, free for all, ultimate X, ultimate X free for all, falls count anywhere, falls count anywhere tag and handicap.

However I’m still not sold on this game, there has not been enough information released to get me excited (but then again I’m not a TNA fan). However it does look very promising and competition is never a bad thing for a consumer so I’m hoping it ends up being a success. Even if it only leads to THQ bettering the SvR series.

That screenshot is around 4 months old. It’ll look even better when you play it. Good write up SecondSolution.
