Microsoft today confirmed what we all already knew, that Gears of War 2 will be dropping in November 2008, but they also gave us a secific day. Novemeber 7th is when we will pick up where we left off in our fight against the Locast menace. There were a number of videos shown off in the annonucement, one with Cliffy B talking about the campaign and showing off some new gameplay, and the other is the new ‘Resistance’ trailer.
You can find them both here. Other news coming out of the event is about the new ‘Horde’ mode. An on-stage video for the game was shown, and it was confirmed that Gears of War 2 is coming exclusively to the Xbox 360 with a new five-player co-op mode called the horde mode, which will allow players to take on wave after wave of locusts together. In addition, according to the video, players will finally be able to ride the brumak, which were creatures you could only fight in the original Gears of War.
