Turok, the dino-killing shooter from Propaganda Games is set for an early release date, with EB Games telling me that it should be in store as of tomorrow February 4th instead of the original release date of February 7th. So look for Turok in stores tomorrow and a review of the game here on Dimorphic 360 in the near future.
Sorry guys but I’m not excited about Turok. After playing the Demo (and I know its a demo so its not the same as the final game) Turok was invincible. I would charge at guys with a knife even if there were about 3 or 4. The characters are bland and uncompelling so far and there is nothing to really make this stand out besides dinosaurs. Most of the combat felt clumsy, especially with the context sensitive instakills with knife being very sensitive to your angle. The aiming was also a little bit crappy. I’ve never had that much trouble lining up a shot to have it bounce off a wall 5 cm off the enemy’s head. Yes its a demo, but theres very little that could make it more compelling than every other shooter as far as I can tell.
